APC Candidate Oyetola Denies Rift With Osun Governor

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Osun governorship election, Gboyega Oyetola, has denied reports of a rift between himself and Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The Chief of Staff to the governor described such reports as irrational and the imagination of his political enemies.

In a statement from the Director General of his campaign organisation in Osun-East, Ajibola Famurewa, the APC candidate called on his supporters and people in the state to ignore such rumour.

He also hailed the people of the state for their high level of political maturity displayed by conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during last Saturday’s election.

“The Oyetola Campaign Organisation commend the steadfastness of the people in the state. We are proud that the people are resisting the provocation and temptation to sell their conscience.

“We appeal to the people to be vigilant and ready to jealously guard their votes on Thursday as the PDP have commenced massive commoditization of peoples mandate through the massive purchase of voter cards,” the statement read.
