Bishop Kukah Hits Nigerian Government, Says Buhari, Grand-Master Of Tribalism

Bishop Matthew Kukah, Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese.

Popular Nigerian Bishop, Mathew Kukah has tear President Muhammadu’s Government to pieces, describing it as the worst government in the history of democracy in the country.

Speaking on Tuesday, the Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese while looking into the almost six years rule of Buhari led administration, said aside the President setting the country backward, he has also destroy the military.

He went further to say; religious and tribalism has now been the order of the day under the present government, and that Nigerian as a country can no longer boast of Unity and Patriotism, as citizen has been forced to a point where national services and sacrifices is no longer a motivation.

Using the 2015 generation election as a case study, during which President Muhammadu Buhari campaigned vigorously, asking Nigerians to trust him with their votes, using security as a deceptive tool to lure innocent electrorates.

According to Kukah, five years down the line, Buhari has shown that, he can’t be trusted with the nation’s security and economic plans, as all structures and systems have collapsed under his watch.

“Nigeria is at a point where we must call for a verdict. There must be something that a man, nay, a nation should be ready to die for.

“Sadly, or even tragically, today! Nigeria, does not possess that set of goals or values for which any sane citizen is prepared to die for her. Perhaps, I should correct myself and say that the average office holder is ready to die to protect his office but not for the nation that has given him or her that office.

“The Yoruba say that if it takes you 25 years to practice madness, how much time would you have to put it into real life? We have practiced madness for too long.”
