BREAKING: Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi resigns from APC

Ondo State deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has announced his resignation as member of the ruling party, All Progressive Party (APC).

Addressing a cross section of journalists in Kiribo,Apoi ii in Ese-Odo local government area, few minutes ago, Ajayi who is currently in a running battle with his boss, said he will be handling a copy of his resignation letter to all the necessary party leaders within the state, especially at the ward level.
He also thanked party faithfuls, families and friends, the state and everyone for their support, while urging his followers to be calm and work for the development of the state.
Recall, that few hours ago, the state commissioner of police reportedly stopped the deputy from leaving the government house, the convoy of the number two man was stranded at the gate for over four hours.
The state government had claimed the police were only doing their job, after sighting the aides of the embattled deputy leaving the premises of the state house with some properties belonnging the state. An allegations that has since been denied by the other party.

Report say, Agboola Ajayi will be joining the opposition party later in the week.
