It was an epoch making celebration last week Saturday, 5th of October, 2019 when Cornerstone Films International (Producer of Olopa Okunkun) celebrates their 25 years of active gospel film making. The glamorous celebration which was held at the Cornerstone Camp Surulere Avenue, Papalanto, Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State
In his speech, the president, Cornerstone Films International and Chairman, Board of Trustee Nigeria Gospel Film-Makers Forum Pastor Abraham Olorunnimilo Amuyimika went through the memory lane how it all started
“First of all I want to appreciate God for His mercy and goodness over my life and the ministry. Though the road is rough, but God’s mercy has kept through this period, Cornerstone Film/Outreach Ministry started as a Christian film maker which is a very dangerous and tedious aspect of Gospel Evangelism. Choosing a Christians films is not a hobby for us but a divine call to set the captive free.
This, the devil knows and therefore attacks with series of demonic weapons but God has always been our shield. By the grace of God, our first film was the second Christian gospel film to be shown on cinema at the National Theatre titled “Osuwon Aye”. Also this ministry is the first Christian film maker that shot a film about Jesus in an Africa way –an expository of the pain and the agony of the cross titled “IRORA AGBELEBU” and which were distributed free of charge over 300; 000 copies around the world”
Also speaking at the event Kolade Segun Okeowo( KSO) who is known face in gospel drama ministry (Mount Zion) eulogized the impact of Pastor Olorunnimilo in drama ministry
“We celebrate with one of our fathers in the drama ministry, evangelist olorunnimiwlo. I have watched his films there is this particular one that goes round the federation doing the work of evangelism and deliverance, Olopa Okunkun, that film is blockbuster because of the number of souls that, that film has won for Christ and the Lord has used him to be the brain behind it all, I cannot but give God the glory for his life and his ministry” concluded Pastor Okeowo who delivered the message for the celebration
