I sing for passion not funds- Esther Igbekele

Nigerian Gospel singer, Esther Igbekele, has claimed that she is into music for the passion and not for funds.

The gospel Artist in an interview said she encompass passion for music and that’s her source of mus. She said as a musician, whether she’s being paid for singing or not, she cares less. “I don’t sing with the purpose of making profit.” Esther Igbekele noted

She, however, admitted that at the beginning of her career, equipments were not as rose-colored as they are now. She added, Rome was not built in a day. Every profession has its struggle at inception but passion is always the driving force that keep one the move.

When asked on how she deals with the criticisms she gets, she said, Criticisms don’t doesn’t mean so much to me as it is standard to get critics. Jesus Christ was not loved by everyone, as a result, who am I to insist on all to be attracted to me. I cannot in actual fact state the criticisms I received but I made sure they portrayed no effects on my passion for music.

The gospel entertainer further stated her views on skin bleaching and tattoos. Esther Igbekele said, “I don’t like tattoos and skin bleaching. I think that it is a choice for whosoever chooses to do that. I am not comfortable with tattoos. I pray that my kids would not bear it. everyone that has a tattoo has ended a choice, for the reason that at 18 years old, one has the right to one’s peculiar opinion.
