I Will Preach God Through Responsible Governance – Akingboye

Even as Ondo State brace up for her guber poll, preparation has been in top gear from every corner. In view of this trend, a popular and reoccurring face in the media space, politics and news is Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, the popular and widely supported aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

His popularity and distinguished presence in the political tussle has caught the sight of many whilst he keeps gaining numerous factors and figures into his camp. As such, various news media have turned more attention to him via interviews and various reportage.

In a recent interview, he has stated he’ll be preaching God through responsible governance. He opined attaining power is a great privilege man can ever get to impact and effect more lives positively more than one can do from a private corner.

In his words; “I’ll preach God through responsible governance. Left to me, this is the best offering and service I can render to God Almighty.”

“Alluding to this, some have been called to work for God in the church and mosque while some in the marketplace. Here, the marketplace encompasses the society”. “Hence, I’ve since realized that mine is in the society, and I am set to take it to next stage.

“From the onset of my life, I’ve been trying my best but sincerely, my personal resources will not be enough to fulfill this mission; hence, there are needs for you to entrust me with the mandate to govern this state so that our numerous human and natural resources can be explored and utilized maximally to benefit everyone, especially the vulnerable and indigents who had been shortchanged all this while”

He explained further when asked how this can be achieved; “Yes, it’s achievable, and it’s well spelt in my plans which have been flying around the state”. “I’ll be coming to propagate and bring the will and plans of God for us as a state into fulfilment.”

“When good things happen to our state, it affects all and sundry, this is the gospel I’ll be coming to preach”. “God is love, and no gospel is greater than this love, that of the state, her indigenes and humanity as a whole”.

Conclusively, he closed the discourse with Richelle E. Goodrich’s quote: “Years ago, a group of good, wise, brave, God-fearing men stood up to claim and defend the human right for independence. Those men are now dead. Their work is not. If good, wise, brave, God-fearing men fail to stand up in their stead, that independence will cease to exist.”
