Itori Community Agog As Oba Fatai Akorede Akamo Is Honored

It was all culture and glamour last week as ADACI Nigeria group led by its Nigeria coordinator, Laide Gold paid a courtesy visit to Kabiesi Oba Fatai Akorede Akamo the Olu of Itori Egba kingdom, and the Kabiyesi who was honored.

According to Mrs Laide Gold, the coordinator of ADACI QUEST TROUPE the group is a body under ADACI Washington DC. “The full meaning is AFRICAN DIASPORA ANCENSTRAL COMMEMORATION INSTITUTE it was established to honor the black race that lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea during slave trade.

ADACI has been established in several countries but this is the Nigeria chapter.” Gold, a radio personality explained, “I am the coordinator of the dance troupe but the president of ADACI NIGERIA CHAPTER is Chief Fakunle Oyesanya, our mission is to take culture around the globe” affirmed Gold.

She also explained why Oba Fatai Akorede Akamo was chosen as the group PATRON, “we the group members need blessings of our royal fathers before we embark on the great journey, and we are hoping to get land from each state to build Secretariat to establish ADACI.

Olu Itori is a lover of culture.. We are glad that kabiesi did not only accept us but gave us land to build ADACI Secretariat in ITORI and by our record he is our first Patron. Kabiesi in his own response said’ “I accept to be your PATRON because I like to help the youth and I will advise you to build everything on the truth because that is what will keep you going” said Kabiesi.
