It’s double celebration of the 61st birthday of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR and the 2nd term in office of the silent achiever and master road builder of Ogun State calls for us all to roll out the drums.
Our dear Governor and leader has left no one in doubt of his sterling and qualitative governance in the last 24 months, quietly Prince Dapo Abiodun has touched in very extensive ways every senatorial district and has impacted massive every facet of life.
The proverbial saying of leaving no stone unturned is very much real before us all. Health, education, sports, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure, jobs, agriculture, etc virtually all sectors have received the Midas touch of the Governor.
To X-ray the approach to democratizing development is amazing; the corporate titan has significantly utilized the bottom-top approach, every single project was identified by the people and then they were budgeted and implemented.
Governor Dapo Abiodun is an inclusive major. Internal party democracy has been at its all time best. The process of securing the candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates in the forth coming Local Government elections, the Governor rather than just coming up with a list of names, mandates the leadership of the party to follow due process and allow a democratic process for the emergence of the candidates.
In the area of crisis management, our dear Governor has shown to the world that the capacity of a corporate sector magnate combined with native intelligence will suffice when dealing with human and societal crisis. The management of the outbreak of COVID and EndSars protest attests to this. Both crisis has the capacity of exposing the state significantly but they were well managed.
I cannot but mention that our dear Governor and leader is also very much opening up Ogun State to regional collaboration and integration. The recently signed MOU with Lagos State on the establishment of a joint development commission is one of such meritorious achievements.
The countless inflow of foreign direct investments and social interventions from global funders and partners has shown to even the naysayers that it pays to allow a square peg in a square hole. Price Abiodun is a corporate Titan and has succeeded at that and he’s succeeding in the administration of public service as well and we must celebrate him.
On the occasion of this 61st birthday therefore which is also the 2nd year anniversary of being Governor of Ogun State, I Olanrewaju Oyegbola-Sodipo join all the members of the APC and every well meaning Ogun State indigenes in Nigeria and all over the world to say happy birthday and congratulations, sir.
It’s our prayer that Almighty God continue to uphold you sir and give you the wisdom to continue to steer the ship of this state progressively. And that as you grow in age, you also continue to grow in grace and the abundance of good health and strength abide with you always. Amen.
