Real Madrid Coach Breaks Silence On Ronaldo’s Exit

Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegi has said that Cristiano Ronaldo exit from Real Madrid to Juventus was unpreventable.

Ronaldo joined the Old Ladies in the summer after nine years at the Spanish side where he won three Champions League crowns.

Speaking on the Portuguese move, Lopetegi admitted that he was unable to convince the former Manchester United star to stay.
“I did not speak with him [Ronaldo],” Lopetegui was quoted by Express Sports.

“Because when I become Real Madrid coach, he had already chosen to leave.”

Lopetegui was confirmed as Real Madrid’s boss on June 12 while Ronaldo completed his move to Juve a month later on July 10.
