YOU CAME OUT AS A GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE IN IMO STATE IN THE LAST GENERAL ELECTION, YOU LATER WITHDREW, WHAT HAPPENED?
The party state Leader after Party Primary pleaded with me to step down. People’s Redemption Party National leadership now intervened and as a servant leader of which I am, I have to Obey the National leadership of the Party. As it stands, looking at what happened at the last general election in Imo state, the election was not free at all, the worst election ever since the history of Imo as Democracy started in Nigeria. After that every election Imo state has a largest number of petition in the tribunal in this our nation Nigeria as it stands now. Meaning what the National leadership of People’s Redemption Party (PRP) saw by telling Me to step down was right.
IF YOU WERE ELECTED AS THE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?
Had it been I emerge as the Governor of Imo state in this last election, 1) Good Governance/Progressive leadership which has been my watch word will I implement. Remember I had a Ten point Agenda which would have brought Imo back to Lime-light again.
IN YOUR VIEW, HOW WOULD YOU RATE OR ACCESS THE PERFORMANCE OF NIGERIAN LEADERS?
Firstly, this present Government of APC and the President Muhammodu Buhari leaders administration has failed Nigeria woefully in the sense that they are corrupt, they steals Nigeria money, kills fellow citizens, destroy economy and so on. What is left? The futures of the youth presently in Nigeria are no more which is one of the problem causing agitation for division. The so called Christians Association Of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria (PFN), and other relatives society like them are contributing, doing worst, corruption everywhere. Imagine CAN paying 3 million naira to kidnappers for kidnapping 500 Christians in Kaduna state, the same Kaduna state strange fire came gush and Devour the people oppressing Christians some years past. CAN has lost their value.
DON’T YOU THINK THE 3 MILLION NAIRA FROM CAN WAS A WAY OF ASSISTING THE GOVERNMENT IN THEIR OWN WAY FOR THE BENEFIT OF PEACE IN THE LAND?
That is corruption which the bible kick against in (John 10:10) That the enemy came to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came that they might have Life and have it more abundantly. CAN has forgotten what they are called to do. This present leader, Buhari when he was sworn into office, he vowed, he took an oat to protect the citizen of the nation, now the Police is killing civilians, Army is killing Police, Boko haram is killing Army, federal government is releasing boko haram in custody freely. With that, I have come to conclude that the so called agitation by different groups are becoming meaningful, why because one of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN) recently said that the amalgamation of Nigeria was a fraudulent, it is coming to reality because I see no reason why the so called grand commander of federal republic has never been able to defend a single citizen of Nigeria. Today killing in Kaduna state, tomorrow killing in Zamfara. What are our military doing? What is the work of Nigeria Police Force? Is it to collect 50 naira at Ago Palace way, or to collect 100 naira at Okota round about? Is that why we employ the securities? No. Nigeria has come to a stage where the so called President has to be called to order. The lives of this citizen means nothing to him. I heard recently when one of the Senate reacted to his comment on Reviving the economy of the nation. Of what use is it? Reviving the economy of who? Is it the same citizen that he has finished killing, it is highly meaningless. If Buhari knows he cannot put Nigeria together, let him resign from that office. We foresaw this happening far back in 2011 bebefore Engr Martin Onovo who has the solution to the present challenges of Nigeria, contested for presidency but was rejected that he is a young man. President Buhari was 32 years when he was military head of state, what is he still doing in that post? A great grand father who has lost his memory is one of the reason why Nigeria is not growing. Today he arrested Sowere, is that not madness? Totally out of direction, he doesn’t want the present generation, the digital leaders of this present time to have a say in the country we called our own.
GOING BY THE SITUATION ON GROUND, DO YOU THINK APC WOULD BE ABLE TO MANAGE ITS 2019 VICTORY?
APC has no victory in 2019 general election, it was a stolen mandate. The former governor of Imo state confesses that APC governors gave the Inec boss 1 billion naira to rig the election in favor of APC, the present leadership pretends as if they didn’t hear it, on the eif to the election, there was million van with money at Tinubu resident in Lagos. EFCC is blind, they didn’t see that. What are we saying? They never won the election, it was a stolen mandate. Imagine what happened in the last Tribunal, how can a so called President who won the election does not have school certificate then the former minister of information, Lia Muhammed said ‘ Somebody who left school 58 years ago why can’t we pardon him’ Such talks from Lia Muhammed. That is the problem we are having. This old grand Pas shou go to sleep, mass burial is what they deserve if Nigeria will move forward.
IS THERE STILL HOPE IN THIS ADMINISTRATIONS FOR BETTER?
All hope is lost, why? Buhari doesn’t have a listening hear. Let me take you back when he was a military head of state. Volkswagen collapsed, many companies folded up because Buhari is not an economist, he does know how to manage economy. I remembered when he was PTF chairman, hundred millions of naira were embezzle and we’re swept under carpet, now he is fighting corruption, does corruption fight corruption? So, this administration has no future, what they are after is killing of their fellow citizens.
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THE STATE OF THE NATION?
My take on the state of the nation is, the Good Governance people yern for has been denied, they have been denied of their citizenship right and the present government is doing nothing over it rather killing them on top of it. One of my friend, brother, father, and mentor said something integruing that “Nigeria will know no peace until the son of a nobody become somebody without knowing anybody” I am agitating that the so called Colonial masters that had rule us since 1980s should get out of office, get out today’s administration because they are now analog.
YOUTH ARE THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW YET THEY ARE NOT GIVEN THEIR RIGHTFUL PLACE, WHAT IS YOUR VIEW SIR?
In Nigeria, the youth are the leaders of tomorrow has no base, has no foundation, why because the self centered fraudulent colonialmasters are all theif, they are afraid of their evil deeds, when the youth steps in as leaders, they will all be brought into book. That is why the quote “The youth are the leaders of tomorrow” has no base in Nigeria.
