..Says Governor Commitment to Grassroots Development is Top-notch
Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has lauded His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu for the handover of 18 Units Pick Up Vehicle to Local Government Chairmen and Amotekun Corps in Ondo State.
Hon. Ajimotokin described the gesture as top-notch adding that the pickup vehicle would amplify and stimulate their easy operation to the areas under their supervision most especially the octopus areas of their respective local governments.
The honourable Chairman added that distribution of an additional three pick up vehicles to the State Security Network, codenamed “Amotekun”, as part of his administration’s efforts to boost security operation in the state is highly commendable.
He extolled Governor Akeredolu commitment to grassroots development stressing that the distribution of 18 units of SEM–919 Motor Graders for the usage of the 18 local governments in the state last year is now yielding enormous results in the aspect of rural roads development.
“It gladdens my heart that the governor has an overarching priority for the pressing needs of the Council Chairmen and it’s a clear indication that the governor is interested in ensuring the viability of the Local Government as the third tier of government and enabling the local government helmsmen to function efficiently in their official duty”.
