Akeredolu’s Wife Slams Aiyedatiwa Over Removal of ‘Wall Of Jericho’ in Akure Road

Wife of the Ondo state governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has openly disagreed with the decision of the acting governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa to remove part of the barricades popularly known as ‘Wall of Jericho’ from the Oba Adesida road in Akure, Ondo state capital.

The governor’s wife in a series of posts on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, noted that the acting governor was looking for ‘cheap popularity’ by removing the portion of the barricade on the road.

According to her, “I’m an activist. Truth must be told. If e dey pain you, go hug transformer.

“Wall of Jericho, was it for a run? No! For public safety to prevent reckless driving and accidents. Get some sense, people. Cheap popularity.”

Starnews observed that the action of Aiyedatiwa received commendations from the residents, especially traders and market women who had long been angered by the mounting of the barricades, particularly as it affects motorists plying the road.
