Akingboye Expresses Sadness Over Death Of Olowo, Condoles With Community

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, a governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State has expressed deep sadness over the death of Olowo of Owo, HRM. Oba Olateru Olagbegi.

He sympathized with the entire community over the irreplaceable loss, describing the late King as a rare gem, brilliant custodian of culture and tradition and a well respected monarch whose contributions to affairs of the state and Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.

Akingboye during a condolence visit to the palace on, Monday, 23rd April, 2019 exalted the beautiful virtue of the departed king, while revealing that such personality of inestimable value with distinct character was difficult to come by.

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye described the late monarch as a huge asset already lost in the cold hand of death. But pray to God for his repose.

Kabiyesi was a courageous, compassionate and patriotic leader whose love for his people is immeasurable as he sacrificed and struggled throughout his lifetime to ensure that Owo becomes great.

“He was a father to me and as well my benefactor. I am pained by his demise because I never thought it could be this early.” Akingboye said

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye appealed to Owo people to uphold peace that Kabiyesi always stood for and as well let his good legacies linger.

He promised to participate in all Kabiyesi’s burial activities and urged the people not to hesitate to beckon on him when it is time.
