This was contained in a statement by the senior special assistant to the president on Media and publicity,garba Shehu. Garba Shehu noted that warrant office lost his life after three years of battle with diabetes.
Garba Shehu disclosed that the officer had been working with Buhari even before his emergency into office as president Buhari however described Mato as a loyal and trust worthy soldier who is always deligence at work. He however prayed that Allah great him paradise as well as his family and government sufficient condolence to bear the loss. The death of Mato means Buhari suffers two great loss in the space of one week following the death of Abba Kyari in recent days.
