Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Celebrates Air Peace’s Expansion

The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Hon. Gaston Alfonso Browne, has been actively engaging Nigerian investors and has praised the Nigerian airline, Air Peace. During a Business Forum/Dinner in Lagos, PM Browne commended Air Peace for its recent commencement of direct flights to London and expressed anticipation for the airline to begin scheduled direct flights to Antigua and Barbuda. This move is expected to drive socio-economic development and strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.

PM Browne highlighted the business opportunities in Antigua and Barbuda, inviting the Nigerian business community to invest in various sectors such as energy, education, pharmaceuticals, banking, real estate, tourism, fintech, agriculture, manufacturing, and blockchain. He emphasized the country’s safe and incentivized business environment, along with an Investor Immigration Programme that grants citizenship to foreign nationals who invest in the nation.

Furthermore, Air Peace and the Antiguan government have partnered for the establishment of LIAT 2020 Airline, which will soon commence operations in the Caribbean. Dr. Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, encouraged Nigerian and Antiguan governments to explore development opportunities for mutual benefits and urged investors to consider investing in Antigua and Barbuda.

This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing the connectivity and economic ties between Nigeria and the Caribbean region, with potential benefits for both countries.
