Arsenal to provide free meals to aid fight against COVID-19

Arsenal Football Club is set to provide over 30,000 free meals including sanitary and personal hygiene products to Vulnerable Citizens as part of it response to the novel Coronavirus, the English Club said on Friday.

The Gunners also promised to donate €100,000 to local organizations and additional €50,000 to COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

A statement from the Club stated that it has collaborated with HIS Church to deliver 15 tonnes of emergency supplies into Islington. The initiative which is claimed to be part of the Club’s response to COVID-19 has seen Staffs volunteer to transport frontline NHS workers.

It should be acknowledged that Manchester united and Wolverhampton Wanderers had announced support on Thursday to help the country fight against the pandemic which has killed over 8,000 people in England.
