Atiku Appoints Hon. Wole Akingbasote As His Diaspora Coordinator

A US based Idanre Media guru Hon. Wole Akingbasote has just been aappointed as the Diaspora National Coordinator of ‘Yes 4 Atiku Organization’.

According to a source, Hon. Akingbasote was the Head of Graphics Department of Ondo State Radiovision Corporation between 1982 and 1992 before he went for further studies in America where he was invited home to serve in political arena.

He first served as Senior Legislative Aide /Special Adviser to Distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure before being appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Olusegun Mimiko before he went back to America where he is presently living with his wife and children.

It is believed that his versed and versatile media background coupled with his acquisition of multiple degrees on ICT & Computer Graphics, deep knowledge of Nigerian political dynamics, his many years of sojourning abroad and good human relationship informed his appointment.

Sir Dr. Kola Ademujimi, former Chief of Staff to Governor Mimiko saw Hon Akingbasote, who he described as a versatile technocrat and political guru who, as a young man built himself for greatness and hence a round peg in the round hole for the office and opined that he will perform excellently with his innovative acumen. He saw his appointment as a plus for the Makanres.

Hon. Kayode Akinmade, former Commissioner for Information under Gov. Mimiko saw his appointment as a “welcome development which showed PDP as a party that doesn’t discriminate against anybody on the basis of religion, ethnicity or social status but always providing level playing ground for everybody to reach the top. He saw Hon. Wole Akingbasote as a” shining star ” Hon Mayokun Akinmoladun the Deputy Coordinator of PSG in Ondo State applauded the appointment as a good sign for idanre community.

According to a source, all efforts made to reach, Hon. Tuyi Akintimehin(MHA representing Idanre Local Government) for comment proved abortive as at the time of filing in this report.
