A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC and a member of the Buhari’s administration, Festus Keyamo has said the insecurity currently ravaging the country is a part of daily living.
Keyamo made this revelation in an interview section on Politics Today with Seun Akinbaloye on Channels Tv, Seun had asked Mr Festus to give a brief score card of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last 7-years rule.
In his points, Keyamo while boasting that Buhari has done very well in every areas, particularly in infrastructure, food supplies and agricultural production, said except for banditry which raised it’s ugly head after solving the farmers herders clash.
“First of all, let me tell you, that I am proud of the achievement of this government in infrastructural development, agricultural revolution and the farmers herders conflicts. You will recall how the farmers herders clash almost tear this country apart before 2019”
“The President has been able to solve that conflicts, and done excellently well, except for banditry and kidnapping which show it’s ugly head. But I tell you, this is a normal thing, it’s happens everywhere, even in developed countries, we have seen mass shootings, killings in the US, UK among others”
“But the question is, does the government have the capacity ? We have shown that we are capable. Nobody should come out to try to twist facts, and let me also say that as a government and that has human feelings, I sympathies with the victims of banditry in every part of the country, but it is not enough to discredit Buhari’s achievement in the last seven years “.
