Singer Olubankole Wellington known with stage name Banky W has declared his candidacy for the Eti Osa, Lagos seat at the House of Representatives in the 2019 general elections.
The EME Records boss who made the declaration on Saturday at an event tagged “Play Your Part” revealed that he will be running under the Modern Democratic Party (MDP).
Banky has in recent time been very vocal in convincing youths to be active and participate in political processes in the country and has spoken at conferences across the country.
Banky also made his intention known on Twitter.
