Breaking News: Plateau State House Of Assembly Impeaches Speaker & Majority Leader

Information available to Zebra news has it that the Members Plateau State House today impeached the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Peter Azi who is member representing Jos North West Constituency and the Majority Leader Hon. Henry Yunkwap Member representing Shendam Constituency.
They were impeached by vote of no confidence being passed on them.

The members immediately elected Barr. Joshua Madaki representing Jos East to replace Rt. Hon. Peter Azi as Speaker and Hon. Daniel Nanlong member representing Mikang Constituency as Majority Leader.

The Impeachment motion was moved by Hon. Peter Gyendeng, member representing B/Ladi Constituency and was endorsed by over 2/3 majority of the APC dominated House.

Zebra news reliably gathered from a source that the Impeachment process commenced on Monday 9th July, 2018 and was completed the next day Tuesday 10th July, 2018.
