BREAKING: Nigerian Defence Warns Against Coup Attempt and Foreign Flags

In a stern warning, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, declared that the Nigerian military would not tolerate any attempt to overthrow the democratic government. Speaking after an emergency security session with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock, General Musa emphasized that the law would catch up with those who defy this stance.

The situation arose as protesters were seen flying Russian flags within Nigeria’s sovereignty—an act deemed “totally unacceptable.” General Musa clarified that anyone flying foreign flags in Nigeria would be committing a treasonable offense. He urged citizens not to allow themselves to be used by individuals pushing for regime change or disruptions to peace.

The military’s commitment to defending democracy remains steadfast, and they will take serious action against those sponsoring such actions. General Musa’s message is clear: Nigeria stands united in safeguarding its democratic principles, and any attempt to undermine them will be met with resolute action.
