There are growing concerns for the safety of Channels Television reporter, Joshua Rogers, who was reportedly kidnapped in Rivers State, Nigeria on Thursday night.
According to reports, Mr. Rogers was abducted by gunmen close to his residence in Rumuosi, Port Harcourt, the state capital. He was reportedly returning home after finishing an assignment at the Government House.
Sources claim the kidnappers have contacted Mr. Rogers’ wife and demanded a ransom of N30 million for his safe release.
The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer has not yet confirmed or denied the abduction.
Channels Television has not yet released an official statement, but a colleague of Mr. Rogers confirmed the incident.
