Ekiti State has recorded another case of COVID-19 as medical doctor tests positive to COVID-19 on Tuesday. This was contained in statements by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mojisola Yaya-Kolade. The doctor who is currently the fourth case of the pandemic in the state contracted the novel coronavirus while treating a 29 year-old infected pregnant woman.
However, Yaya-kolade noted that the doctor is now receiving treatment in the state isolation centre.
Addressing the issue, Yaya-kolade said,
“Yes, we have one doctor who tested positive and he is being treated at the isolation centre”, added that the results of 15 others turned out to be negative among the blood samples taken to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.”
