The city of Lagos and it’s environs was a fun recently when “I stand with Israel” celebrates their New Year with other Christian community held at Golden tulip, Lagos.
Pastor Rex Ajenifuja, the Executive Director of “I stand With Israel” was excited and elated seeing the turn up of some Christian community coming together to rejoice with the Jewish.
Rex further explained during the event that “I stand with Israel” is an organization set up to annest the potential of Christian community and to annes to the potential of the Jewish community. Advising Nigeria Christians to rise up to dive into such opportunity.
Nigerians has been looking for the opportunity but our arrogance and discrimination has not allow us to annes it but we are very grateful to God for the connections through the humility of the work of Rabbi Mendy Sternbach, the Chief Rabbi of Lagos state, Apst Moses Timothy ( Lagos Chairman PFN), Other Rabbi presents includes Rabbi David Geisinsky, Rabbi Zalman Stern Bach, Apst Eyinnaya ( Vice Chair Lagos PFN), Mrs Titilayo Ladoja.
The Jewish New Year celebration was fun and exciting which served as a manifestation of relationship between the Jewish community and the Christian community celebrating their New Year which is called in the bible The Feast of Trumpet as when God instructed them to assembled that the priest shall come and declare blessing, and they blew trumpet and a holy convocation to the Lord, they ate Apple and Honey in Jewish way which is how the Jewish all over the world celebrates their New Year and they called Rosh hashenah while the bible called it The feast of Trumpet.
It was a great privileged and opportunity to be joined by three Orthodox Rabbi in the celebration first time ever in Africa and history was made. Awards and certificates was issued to some distinguished and influential personalities like Bishop Sola Ore ( Lagos PFN/ Pilgrims Board of Chairman) as a friend of Israel premium, among others distinguished.
