Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has underscored the needs for youths to all times involved in profitable ventures and to always cultured entrepreneurial spirit and skills in the ongoing new Ondo State project been championed by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN.
The Deputy Governor spoke while having audience with Akoko South West Youths Forum at Cocoa Conference Hall, Governor’s office Akure on Wednesday.
He charged them to channel their energies towards agriculture, saying, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s administration has invested so much in the sector.
“The Youths represents the energies and aspirations of our State, so there is the need to harness and manage the potentials and resources of young citizens for the social and economic advancement of the State” , he said.
“In the present administration, Youths are being considered in policy formulation, how we are going to engage the youths as they have roles to play in the new Ondo State Project” .
“You are enjoined to key into Ondo State Entrepreneurship Agency ( ONDEA ) programmes as every window available for Youths to access funds will be provided”, Aiyedatiwa further adviced.
On the criminal activities around the barricade on Akungba-Ikare road, the Deputy Governor charged the youths in the area to check themselves so as to stem the criminal activities.
In his response, the Leader of the Youth Forum, Danjuma Ajayi spoke glowingly of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and his Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, eulogizing them for their Infrastructural development in the State and for enthroning peace and security in the State, emphasizing that other State Governors need to learn from them.
