HRM Oba Olalekan A. Fasesin of Oriade town, Ile-Ife kingdom in Osun State, South West Nigeria has stated unquocably that his kingdom, Oriade is a safe haven for both indigene and none indigene even as Nigeria security is in serious crisis amidst the clash between Yorubas and herdsmen.
“We all know that the country is at the moment going through a lot of issue especially on security which make our security outfit to be porous. But I can tell you as the Kabiyesi of Oriade in Ife kingdom that our own territory here is a safe haven for both indigene and none indigene.
We are fully prepared as far as security and guiding our territory is concerned. The herdsmen cant find their way into our territory here ,we are fully prepared to defend our land and our territory against invasion of the herdsmen.
Our security outfit is fully on ground. They are our local security outfit called “City Guards” this security guards I must tell you is been funded by my humble self when I got to the throne, and like I stated when I got to the throne, security among others things are my priority and I still hold on to that ”
