I Was In Political Bondage For Almost Two Years, Says Gov Akeredolu’s Aide

A special assistant to governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Niger Delta Affairs, Hon. Lubi Akpoebi Ebielatei has resigned his appointment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration.

Lubi, a former lawmaker from Ese-Odo State Constituency and former caretaker chairman of Ese-Odo council area, both on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said the move was to safeguard his political career which is almost going into oblivion under the APC government in the state.

The first of such appointees to resign from the Akeredolu led administration based on principle and alleged intimidation, said the ruling APC in the state lack internal democracy and popular participation.

He told newsmen that his rising political career is seriously under threat, hence, he has to retrace his steps and readjust to follow the political trend both in the State and at the Federal levels.

“My brother, my greatest joy is that I was able to retrace my steps and come out of the political bondage the deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi and his cohorts from Ese-Odo put me for almost two years. If not for God and my steadfastness with masses from Ese-Odo, I would have been imprisoned for life.

“I thank God and my people from Ese-Odo for regaining my political freedom and freed from oppression and persecution of the deputy governor and his political godsons.”

The former lawmaker however, thanked Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu for the opportunity given him to serve the people, stressing that he remain a good fan of the governor.

He promised to carry his people along on his next political move, which he affirmed, would be in conformity with the yarning and aspiration of the people of Ese-Odo council area.
