I will never Coach Eagles again – Oliseh

Former Super Eagles player and Head coach, Sunday Oliseh said he would ignore a second call from NFF even if the opportunity surface.

The Former Fortuna Sittard coach said natives of the country are not appropriated as head coach as sited himself and late Stephen Keshi as examples.

Oliseh,45, has 52 caps for Nigeria and scoring 2 goals between 1993 and 2002. The former Eagles Boss managed the national team 2015-2016.

Oliseh Claimed that refusal of the Nigeria football body to pay him his wages regularly caused him to leave the national job. He said, “No, I don’t have the intention of ever coaching the (Super) Eagles again. I loved working with the boys, I love coaching my country, but the atmosphere around it was no longer healthy.”

“I didn’t want the job anymore. Health-wise I was not feeling too good; secondly, we were owed salaries. I was spending money on my health and on my team. I just couldn’t die on the job.

Oliseh noted that the current head coach of the national team, Gernot Rohr is yet to lodge any complaints on his wages, unlike himself and Keshi despite winning trophies for the national team.

He further stated that the introduction of young players like Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi was stirred by him to reconstruct the Squad. Noting that it is the philosophy the French team used to win the World Cup in 2018
