The aged mother of veteran Musician, late Orlando Owoh, Mrs Morenike Owomoyela has prayed to die in her sleep. The over a 100-years old in an interview with Punch, also said she doesn’t wish to die a painful death.
When asked if she still pray to God for long life, Mrs Owomoyela who declares she is done with life, said, “Please, I don’t want that kind of prayer. I’m done with life and I want to exit at this stage. I think I am done with life; the only thing I want now is for God to take me away. I don’t have friends anymore; most of my friends are dead while those who are still alive can no longer do anything freely like the way I still walk around”.
Married to late Chief Oladipupo Owomoyela, Mama who currently reside in her country home, Owo in Ondo State, reveals the only thing she is praying God to do for her, “What I am asking from God is to grant me a peaceful death. I shouldn’t be sick before I die; when it is time, I just want to go inside my room, sleep and go. I wish to die in my sleep. I don’t want to give my children any trouble when the time comes”.
