Indigenous Ama Contractors Union Laud Nigerian Breweries Over CSR

The Indigenous Ama Contractors have applauded the Nigeria Breweries, NB Plc for being consistent with their cooperate social responsibility (CSR) to the host community.

In a statement made available to NEWSPORTFOLIO by the President of the Union, Ozo Onyebuchi Ani after their first meeting of the year, disclosed that the company over the years has continued to reinvest it’s profit back to the society through Cooperate Social Responsibility, instead of sharing the entire profit among shareholders.

“We want to use this medium to thank Nigeria Breweries Plc in a special way on how they have handled their host community especially with regards to CSR.

“We will continue to work and win together with them especially with the Brewery Manager, Mr Peter Ani, who is like a father to us”, said Ozo Onyebuchi.

On behalf of the union members, Ozo Onyebuchi thanked the Brewery Manager for the successful completion of Ama Skill Acquisition Center built for the host community and pleaded with him to consider qualified indigenes for employment.

He however stated that in as much as they are positively meeting up with their CSR, he still believes that there is always room for improvement.

He further revealed that the union will implement a scholarship empowerment program to members of the community to further boost their interest in education.

Ozo Onyebuchi Ani equally urgied other corporate organizations within the community to emulate the gesture.
