Thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses and members of the public are set to gather at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses along Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State, for the 2024 Regional Convention themed “Declare the Good News!” The convention will commence on Friday, September 6, and will continue every weekend until Sunday, December 15, 2024.
The convention series will feature 15 separate events at the Ota Assembly Hall, including seven in English, five in Yoruba, two in Pidgin, and one in American Sign Language. The three-day program will include a variety of presentations such as talks, audio dramas, interviews, and short videos. One of the key highlights will be the baptism of new members who have completed a Bible study program, scheduled for Saturday mornings.
Attendees can look forward to an epic all-volunteer production titled “The Good News According to Jesus: Episode 1. The True Light of the World,” which offers a comprehensive look at the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. This production is part of a series that will be released at future conventions.
The convention is open to everyone, with no admission fee or collections taken. The program aims to provide comfort and encouragement through Bible-based talks and presentations, addressing contemporary challenges faced by individuals today.
The convention will start at 8:20 a.m. each day and conclude at 3:50 p.m., except on Sundays when it will end at 2:30 p.m. Topics to be covered include “What Will You Do for the Sake of the Good News?”, “Why We Don’t Fear Bad News,” and “Hold Firmly to the Good News—Why and How?”.
This much-anticipated event promises to be a source of hope and inspiration for all attendees. With a focus on spreading the good news from the Bible, the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ 2024 Regional Convention is set to be a significant event in Ota, Ogun State.
