Free Our Brother Unconditionally, Abducted Jonathan’s Cousin’s Family Begs Kidnappers

The family of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s abducted cousin, Jephthah Robert, has appealed to his kidnappers to free him unconditionally and without any harm  -YENAGOA

The family also urged Robert’s assailants to turn a new leaf in the interest of peace and progress of Bayelsa State.

This was contained in a statement on Thursday signed on the family’s behalf by Austin Ekeinde, the Head of Media Communications, Zeetin Engineering, which is founded by Azibaola Robert, the victim’s younger brother.

The document titled, “Statement On The Kidnap Of Our Elder Brother, Jephthah Robert Yekorogha”, was written on the official letterhead of Azibaola Robert.

The victim was abducted on Monday in front of his residence around Biogbolo-Epie, a suburb of YenagoaBREAKING: Gunmen Abduct The Mother Of The Secretary To Bayelsa State Governor, the Bayelsa State capital.

The State Police Command had confirmed the kidnap of Robert on Tuesday.

The statement read in part,”Our elder brother, Mr Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, was kidnapped at about 8.40 pm on Monday, 24th January 2022, in front of his house gate at Biogbolo, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, by four ‘gunmen’ in black uniform, who, at gunpoint, seized him in his car and forced him into their vehicle and zoomed off.

“We appeal to the abductors of our brother to immediately release him unconditionally, without harm, and turn a new leaf for the peace, security and prosperity of Bayelsa State.”

It stated that the incident was reported to the security agencies shortly after it happened “and is receiving maximum attention.”

The family appreciated the Commissioner of Police and the State Director of Department of State Services “for their determined assistance.”

The family also solicited the support of members of the public on any lead for the quick release of their brother while thanking them for their concern expressed through phone calls and text messages as well as visits.
