The sole challenger of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in Tuesday’s All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has trounced the governor at ward c, Alausa, Ikeja.
The electoral officer in charge of the ward, Olanrewaju Yahaya, announced that Sanwo-Olu polled 960 votes ahead of the governor who secured just four votes.
Alausa is the seat of power in the state as the governor’s office, state assembly and state secretariat are all there.
The national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, is a registered APC member in ward C.
As at the time of this report, Tinubu had not visited the ward.
