The Special Assist to the Ondo State Governor on New Media, Hon Oladipupo Okunniga ( Bombay ) on Saturday called on Students leaders, Community, Religious and Political leaders in Ondo South Senatoral District, particularly Ilaje and Okitipupa Local Governments to come up with strategies and approach to re-orientate the mindset of the youths towards doing good.
Okunniga gave this challenge when the President of Federation of Aye Students Union ( FASU ), Oluwatosin Ogunyemi and their PRO, Olalekan Akindehin paid him a courtesy visit at his country home in Ode Aye.
He made it clear to the Student leaders that, the Nation’s Security is under serious pressure. “There is a lot of pressure on Security” , he declared. “In Ondo South Senatoral District, particularly Igbokoda and Okitipupa, you know that the concern we have now is Cultism and thuggery” .
“Thle violent crime as a result of Cultism and thuggery has snowballed into deaths which should be condemn by all”. “This is not only disheartening and distruptions on the peace of affected communities, it is a danger to all neighbouring communities, because what affects one, affects all” , he said.
“More than ever before, leaders, and the youths particularly, Students bodies should rise up with strategies and approach to re-orientates the mindset of the youths”. “Let’s rally round to save our youths from devastating effects of Cultism and thuggery”, he appealed.
