May 29: Canadian Delegation Arrives In Nigeria For Tinubu’s Swearing-In

The Canadian Minister for Housing, Diversity and Inclusion, Hussein Ahmed, has arrived in Nigeria for the inauguration of Nigeria’s new president, Bola Tinubu.

This was made known in a post by the Canadian high commission via its official Twitter handle, @CanadaInNigeria saying, “ Canada in Nigeria is delighted to welcome The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, to Nigeria, for the presidential inauguration ceremony of President-Elect, H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.”

Also in a statement shared, the commission noted that the minister would meet with representatives of civil society and youths, adding that “Canada and Nigeria share strong bilateral ties, and Canada looks forward to continue collaborating with Nigeria on shared priorities, including trade opportunities and regional security, through the leadership of the new president.

“While in Nigeria, Minister Hussein will meet with representatives of civil society organisations, youth and international partners regarding Nigeria’s efforts in promoting inclusion and respect for diversity.”
