MITOSATH Celebrates Dr Bode Olajumoke As He Becomes An Octogenarian

Dr Bode Olajumoke, former senator of the federal republic and respected politician, today marks a significant milestone, celebrating his 80th birthday.

Born on July 1, 1944 Bode Olajumoke has spent decades making a positive impact on the lives of those around him and contributing to nation building.

According to Dr Francisca Olamiju Executive Director of MITOSATH, today presents an opportunity to acknowledge the goodness of the quintessential gentleman who joins the octogenarian club;”He has been a pillar of wisdom and guidance over the years to me and MITOSATH as an organisation, dedicating his time and expertise to make a difference”.

The MITOSATH boss says Dr Olajumoke is someone who is a devoted family man and committed to community development and philanthropic activities.

“At MITOSATH we have been blessed with an amazing support system, and we are grateful for every moment we have shared with him in the course of our relationship,” she said.

About Dr Bode Olajumoke

Dr Bode Olajumoke had his primary education in Lagos and post primary at Fiditi Grammar School, Oyo State.

He worked briefly as a reporter in training at the Daily Times newspaper before leaving for further education overseas.
He returned to Nigeria in 1974 with a Masters and a Doctorate degree in Law from Moscow and the United Kingdom respectively.

He worked with the Federal Ministry of Establishment from 1974 until 1979. Attended the Nigerian Law School and joined the Ministry of Defence. He retired from civil service in 1987, to set up his law firm popularly known as Popoola and Olajumoke.

In 2003, he became a Senator of the Federal Republic, representing Ondo North Senatorial District and served a second-term after his re-election in 2007.

He is a philanthropist, a senator of the Federal Republic and pro-chancellor and Chairman of the governing council of Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State.

Dr Wilfred Olabode Olajumoke, is married to Princess Remi, the daughter of Late Oba Adeyinka Oyekan, of Lagos with children.
