Mr Latin Contests For TAMPAN President As NEC, BOT Of TAMPAN Lifts Ban On Politics

The National Executive Council (NEC) of Theatre and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) with the support of Board of Trustee has lifted the ban on politics in the theater practitioner’s guild.

The association and its members is repositioning and to make an impact and galvanise change as a union, TAMPAN is having its election in the next few months.

And one of the contestants who has thrown his hat into the ring for TAMPAN President is Bolaji Amusan popularly known as Mr Latin.

Mr Latin is one of the stalwarts of the Yoruba indigenous language movie industry and has mentored several actors and actresses and arguably the pioneer of Abeokuta location actors caucaus.

Also erudite movie producer and director, Yemi Amodu is gunning for the Director, Publicity & Research of the union.

TAMPAN is a progressive acting guild and Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello) is the TAMPAN Board Of Trustees BOT Chairman and Prince Jide Kosoko is the BOT Secretary.

Dele Odule heads the NEC as the incumbent and pioneer president of the association. All these stalwats and other leaders will coordinate the forth coming Election.

The NEC has rolled up its plans and for the National Election: selling of forms closes by Saturday 10th November 2018, screening exercises hold on 8th Saturday December 2018, at the National office.

The Manifesto date Tuesday 11th December 2018, National Election date,Wednesday 12th December 2018, Handing over Thursday 20th December 2018.

The State Election holds Thursday, November 29th, 2018. Founded in 2013, the theatre practitioners union, TAMPAN emerged from factionalization of Association of National Theater Practitioners, ANTP.
