“What our Country needs now are Youths with new ideas, innovation, energy and intellectual capacities to emerge from the challenges of the time” .
These are the words of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa while playing host to the leaders of Southern Youth Association of Nigeria in his office on Thursday in Akure.
The association led by Hon. Jonathan Adekunle were in the Deputy Governor’s Office on a familiarization visit/Award presentation to Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN through his Deputy, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Aiyedatiwa disclosed that, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led government valued the contributions of the Youths in the State.
“Our Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN is championing the course of Southern Nigeria and the Country as a whole” .
“We cannot but carry the Youths along in our day to day activities” .
“One of the launch pad for Youth inclusiveness in our Government is the Pentagon Movement Group ( PMG ), which is a strategic Initiatives that gives Youths sense of belonging by bringing them closer to Government” , disclosed the Deputy Governor.
Continued Aiyedatiwa said, “people are watching actions and inactions of Leaders in the Country” .
“Mr Governor is noted for always saying the truth, he is equally a champion for equity, fairness and Justice, that is what endeared him to those who mean well for the Country” , he said.
He therefore enjoined the Youths to develop themselves as he equally charged them to collaborate, to have a uniform agenda and present common front that would better the lives of Nigerian Youths .
“We should be mindful of the fact that everyone including the Youths have a role to play in the development of the society” , he explained.
He then charged them to always aspired to become the change they want to see by speaking with one voice against social injustice.
While declaring Governor Akeredolu as an outstanding Governor in the Country, the organization said, “we are particularly impressed with Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for his positive attitude towards education in Ondo State and his remarkable response to the yearnings of Youths in the Sunshine State” .
“We are in a very constant and fruitful engagement with the Government and the response has been forward looking and refreshing” , they said.
At the event with the Deputy Governor are Head of Service, Pastor John Adeyemo, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, S/A To Governor on New Media, Office of the Deputy Governor, Ladi Okunniga and others.
