Nigerian Witches And Wizards Not Effective In Politics – Presidency

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar’s endorsement by witches will not make him win the 2019 election, the presidency has said.

Zebra News understands that the Association of White Witches in Nigeria (AWWN) had on Sunday endorsed Atiku, saying he is favoured to beat President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We have prayed. We have done all that needed to be done,” Oboi Okhue, the group’s spokesman had said.

“In our meetings at Obudu Mountain and Zuma Rock in Abuja, the spirits of the forefathers of this country came together to anoint Atiku as the next President of Nigeria.”

However, while reacting to the development, Femi Adesina, one of Buhari’s media aides, said the endorsement meant nothing.

“NEF, PANDEF, Afenifere, others endorse Atiku. Let witches and wizards also endorse, if they like,” he tweeted.

“The harder they come, the harder they fail. No beating the Nigerian people.”

Zebra News had earlier reported that the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF), Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere and Middle Belt Forum (MBF) had adopted Atiku for the polls.

According to them, it was the PDP candidate’s promise to restructure the country that informed their decision.
