Ondo State Governor Appoints New Special Adviser on Union Matters on Workers’ Day

In a strategic move on Workers’ Day, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State announced the appointment of Mr. Taiwo Bola as the Special Adviser on Union Matters. The announcement was made during the festive celebrations at the Gani Fawehimi Freedom Arcade in Akure, marking a significant step in the governor’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the state’s workforce.

Mr. Taiwo Bola, known for his previous role as the President of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), brings a wealth of experience to the table. His expertise is expected to bridge the gap between the government and various labor unions, fostering a harmonious working relationship.

During the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa delivered a speech where he outlined his administration’s dedication to improving the lives of workers. “Our government has consistently prioritized the welfare of our workers,” he stated. “We have ensured the regular payment of salaries and pensions, carried out timely promotion exercises, and bolstered recruitment in key sectors such as health and education.”

The governor also touched upon the economic reforms spearheaded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in the nation’s path to economic resurgence. “Under President Tinubu’s leadership, we are witnessing transformative economic policies that are poised to elevate Nigeria’s standing on the global stage,” he added.

The appointment of Mr. Bola is seen as a testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s resolve to maintain industrial peace and enhance governance in Ondo State. It also aligns with the broader vision of economic and social development championed by the current administration.

As Ondo State celebrates this new appointment, the focus remains on the collaborative efforts to ensure a prosperous future for all workers and residents of the state.
