Quarantine violators would be sanctioned – Hadiza Balarabe

The Kaduna state government through the Deputy governor of the state Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe have threatened to sanction any citizen that is found violating the Quarantine order which is aimed at curtailing the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

This information was disclosed in a broadcast at the government house on Friday. Balarabe acknowledged that despite the rapid spreading rate of the pandemic, quarantine order and social distance orders were both variously breached in several places as regular activities such as general markets openings and vehicles are still moving in the state.

She noted that quarantine observation is still ongoing and must be strictly adhered to for the sake of public health. She also claimed that Clerics that violated the quarantine instructions have been arrested. She also made mention that COVID-19 testing centers wouid be made available in the state soon as promised by NCDC, while giving an update on the activity of the state COVID-19 task force.
