Senator Nicholas Tofowomo on Saturday congratulated Barrister Remi Olatubora over his conferment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC).
The Senator described the elevation Olatubora to the Senior Advocate cadre as well deserving.
He said: Olatubora is my very good friend. He was very supportive when we both served under the administration of Dr Olusegun Mimiko as commissioners. I can’t forget the roles he played in my election. He was my Senatorial Agent and he did very well.
Even as a politician, he doesn’t joke with his legal profession which he takes as a career.
My friend has distinguished himself in the legal profession and should have been admitted to the “Inner Bar” as distinguished from the “Outer which consists of junior advocates, for a very long time.
I am happy he has been named a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He has just realised his dream of receiving the highest title a Nigerian Lawyer could get which is also equivalent to the rank of Queen’s Counsel in the United Kingdom.
