Our attention has been drawn to the rumour making the round to distract the leaders and members of our party, PDP, in Ondo South.
It was rumoured that distinguished Senator Nicholas Tofowomo’s food items did not get to the leaders and members of our party because some of his aides hijacked the palliatives for political and personal reasons.
Senator Tofowomo wishes to inform all the members and leaders of the PDP in Ondo South to disregard this misleading information authored by some faceless individuals to play politics with the emotions of our people in this era of lockdown following the outbreak of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Sen Tofowomo did not at any point in time distribute palliatives to members and leaders of PDP during this outbreak of COVID-19 in Ondo State.
It is not true that some of his aides hijacked the palliatives meant for members and leaders of the PDP in Ondo South.
The only palliatives distributed by the Senator were given to special people (people with disabilities) in Ondo South; and the distribution was done through the Local Government Coordinators of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities) in Ondo South regardless of their party affiliations.
The Senator who was elected on the platform of the PDP is currently representing all the electorates in Ondo South at the National Assembly regardless of their political parties. He therefore knows how best to reach out to everyone across party lines.
Sen Tofowomo said he does not have any reason, and would not have any reason to bypass the leadership of his party if there is need to reach out to them.
He urges all the members of the PDP in Ondo South to disregard any such information explained above.
