Shina Peller Chairs Okeho Centenary Event, Preaches Unity In Oke-Ogun Land

The House of Representatives aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Shina Abiola Peller, has urged all communities in Oke-Ogun land to speak and work in unity in the interest of all.

Peller made this appeal while delivering his opening speech as the Chairman of Okeho Centenary event which was held on Thursday, 23rd of August, 2018 at Okeho town of Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The event, which marked the 100 years celebration of peaceful coexistence of the people of Okeho town, had in attendance His Royal Majesty, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha (Onjo Ilu Okeho), who was the chief host.

Peller, the prospective House of Representatives member, congratulated the traditional ruler and the entire people of Okeho for witnessing such a monumental occasion, a centenary celebration of people binded by nature, love and unity.

Furthermore, he noted that the major problem facing Oke-Ogun is communities discriminating against one another, adding that there is need for all to unite irrespective of religious beliefs and local government one comes from. In his words “Unity is very important. We are as strong as we are united, and we are as weak as we are divided,”

In the same vein, he explained that he is aspiring to represent his people at the Federal House of Representatives in 2019 for the sole purpose of bringing about positive changes across the local governments and communities within his constituency.

Similarly, Shina Peller was led by Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha and other dignatories at the event to commission Okeho Centenary Arcade, which was built to commemorate Okeho at 100. Afterwards, Peller donated certain amount of money for the maintainance of the Arcade.

Also in attendance were the current House of Representatives member from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Hon. Abiodun Adeola Olasupo, the Deputy Chief Whip of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olaleru John Adebayo and other illustrious sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun who all welcomed the choice of Shina Peller as the chairman of the occasion.
