Tiwa Savage, others to perform at King Charles III’s coronation concert

The popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, is announced to be among artistes billed to perform at the Coronation Concert of King Charles III scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 7.

The concert is scheduled to take place on the grounds of Windsor Castle in front of a crowd of 20,000 members the public, according to a report by BBC Pidgin.

The concert will be streamed on BBC television and radio stations.

The award-winning R&B, pop and hip-hop artiste said it was truly an honor to represent Africa and the Commonwealth at such a historic event, BBC Pidgin reports.

Other artistes expected to perform at the concert include: Paloma Faith; rock ‘n’ roll legend Steve Winwood; renowned pianist Lang Lang, and pop star Nicole Scherzinger.

The coronation of the King will take place on Saturday, May 6, at the Westminster Abbey in London.
