The Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, the Alaafin of Oyo, has again endorsed Shina Abiola Peller as a member of the House of Representatives representing the Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Federal Constituency in 2019.
The revered traditional ruler made his position known again when Shina Abiola Peller paid him a courtesy visit in his palace on Friday, 2nd November, 2018.
While welcoming the successful businessman/politician, Peller to his palace, the Alaafin said, “Each time I see you, I see your late dad because you’re a reflection of him in good deed and manner.”
Explaining the rationale behind his firm support for Shina Peller, the Imperial Majesty said, “The reason I encourage educated and brilliant people like you to be involved in politics is that if capable people refuse to lead, the incapable take charge, the result will continue to be undesirable.”
Furthermore, the Alaafin seized the opportunity to shower royal blessings on the Chairman of Aquila Group, adding that “By God’s grace, next year, I’ll be with you in Abuja for your formal inauguration as a member of House of Representatives.”
It would be recalled that the Alaafin of Oyo had earlier confirmed at a public event that he was one of those people that persuaded Shina Abiola Peller to vie for the House of Representatives seat of the Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa federal constituency.
