Why INEC Must Disqualify Buhari From 2019 Elections – PDP

PDP Chairman Uche Secondus

The Peoples Democratic Party has called for the disqualification of President Muhammadu Buhari by the Independent National Electoral Commission for bringing mercenaries from outside the country to influence the forthcoming elections.

The National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, made the call in Enugu Friday, during the presidential campaign of Atiku Abubakar, saying that President Buhari had during his campaign rally in Kano state on Thursday, brought in two governors and others from the Republic of Niger to rig the presidential election.

He said that the call was expedient, since Buhari had decided to subvert the constitutional provision and electoral act and undermine the credibility of the nation’s elections.

“By the power vested in me as the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, I hereby call on INEC to disqualify President Muhammadu Buhari for bringing in mercenaries to influence our votes.

I enjoin Enugu people to vote for Atiku Abubakar for he will not go to sleep on duty. He is articulate and will not divide Nigeria. He is going to unite all Nigerians,” he said.

Secondus, however, warned the electoral umpire not to contemplate rigging the election of the South East by reducing the votes of the zone, stressing that the South East had a Presidential running-mate of the PDP and they cannot afford to tamper with their votes.

Addressing the crowd of supporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, the Presidential candidate, Atiku, called on the Enugu State people to vote for him and his party noting that this is an opportunity for the zone, stressing that if he is elected “South East will have Vice President and the First Lady.”
