Wilshere Ready To ‘Prove Point’ Against Arsenal

West Ham star Jack Wilshere has said he is ready to prove that Arsenal took a wrong step in letting him leave the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal and West Ham will clash on Saturday in a Premier League encounter which will be the first time the England international will be playing at the North London side since his departure.

Wilshere, 26, joined the Hammers on a free transfer this summer after spending 11 years with Unai Emery’s side.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Wilshere said: “It’s down to me to prove a point to Arsenal that they were wrong to get rid of me.

“It’ll be a strange one for me as I was never able to go there and play when I went out on loan as you can’t play against your parent club.”

He expressed confidence that the Hammers are capable of stunning the Gunners during the game.
“It’s one I’m looking forward to,” said Wilshere. “I quite fancy our chances.”

Arsenal have not won a game since the beginning of the campaign. They have lost their first two encounters to Manchester City and Chelsea.
