A medical doctor, Dr Joseph Kabungo who doubles as an official of the Confederation of African Football (CAF’s) has been confirmed dead in Abuja. Zebra News Report
Late Joseph was reportedly to have died shortly before the stampede which broke out after Nigeria lost to Ghana last night during the world cup qualifying match. He was said to have slump while walking to the dressing room.
Zebra News was unable to gather if there were other casualties; recall that there was a heavy invasion yesterday at the Abuja stadium after the Eagles failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
A football expert who spoke to Zebra News said, this actions of Nigerians yesterday may force the football governing body, FIFA to sanction the Nigeria Football Federation.
