HOW DID YOU COME TO KNOW THE LORD?
I am the 5th child in the family of 7, started prophesying at the age of 9 but I wasn’t really saved. I was born with the gift of prophecy, I could see and say things to come to pass even my dreams comes through. Until the age of 14, I was invited to Assemblies of God Church at the crusade, a song was sang during ministrations which reveals Jesus Christ to me. I received Christ as my Lord and Saviour that day, I saw the need to surrender my life to Christ. Since then, my life has never been the same, I have been living a Christ like life working for Him.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING WITH GOD?
I have been working with God for over 20 years, I have been in the Ministry for 22 years but Christ Peace Ministries International is clocking 4 years soon this year.
WHAT ARE THE MYSTERIES SURROUNDING YOUR CALLING?
Like I said, I was born a Prophet by birth. According to my biological mother, my purpose on earth I knew I was going to be a man of God even though I hated it. I never wanted to be a pastor because of the challenges from my family background, coming from poor family background all I could see is poor pastors, poor ministers of God, people whose family were suffering, people who could not afford a good life. So i was afraid of admiting inwardly that Ministry was a good choice for anybody. I saw it that it was a call for suffering. The fear kept me from yielding to Ministry. But as i grew after i encounter God, i had no choice. Each time i tried to run away from God in the sense of Ministry even though i was still a Christian, the more life get difficult for me. Every time i surrender my service to God i founds out that i experience favour, i started to yield totally to God and to allow Him have final say over my 7life.
HAVE YOU EVER BACKSLIDED SINCE YOU MET CHRIST?
I have never backslided but i had time of weakness, discouragement, i had time when people pushed me to a point of trying to give up on God. I have not backslided but i had time When i feel discouraged to be a Christian, by the Grace of God i was able to conquer that at a time in my life.
WHAT IS THE VISION AND MANDATE OF YOUR MINISTRY?
My vision Is to bring men into the light of God’s truth. To unite Men and also to reveal the power that Is in Jesus to them. Giving hope to the hopeless. Making men to realize who Jesus Christ is and the sacrifice on the cross for mankind as regards to salvation and as regards to walking in accordance with the bible.
And our mandate is Preaching Jesus Christ, Raising men into their God given purpose on earth.
HOW WILL YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WALK WITH GOD OVER THE YEARS?
It’s been a journey. It’s like a journey traveling on a road, different experience on the road when you will meet smoothy and pumpy road. Really, I have been hurt a lot in the cause of my journey, it’s bitter and sweeter but to God be the glory I was able to weather the storm.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLE?
Yes of course I believe in miracle. I am a product of miracle. I am where i am today by miracle. My ministry is a product of miracle. What has given my ministry in America the speed we are, considering the religious climate is a prove of miracle. When God speaks, He performs.
AS A PROPHET OF GOD, HOW CAN ONE IDENTIFY A TRUE MAN OF GOD?
The word ‘Man of God’ is because you are in alignment with God. If you are to identify who real man of God is, first you must understand the bible. Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them. After identifying them, you have to search for the fruit. Fruit reveals what you are made of. If Jesus is the tree and you are branches, you will have no reason not bear good fruits. Satan can mimic the act of the Holy Spirit but he cannot mimic the fruit of the Spirit of God. Basically, you have to observe, know your bible and look out for the fruit around the individual.
WHAT ACTUALLY INFORMED YOUR TRIP TO THE U.S?
I was in Nigeria and I was traveling to other part of the world in the cause of the ministry. In one of my international trip, I met my wife, she was already an America citizen. She came on a vacation and attended the program I was invited to. During the program, I was prophesying and funny enough she was the first person I prophecy to in the program, I gave her a prophecy confirmed though she was not really a saved Christian, she was from a Muslim background. I never knew while I was prophesying that she was going to be my wife. To cut the story short, after the program, the pastor of the program connected us, then after the conference we talked. That was the beginning of it, today we are married with 3 children. She is the one that filed for me and brought me to the United States of America.
IN YOUR VIEW, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY MADE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NIGERIA AND U.S?
There is so much to compare expecially in the area of Economy. People here in the state loves their country more than their leaders . When you are very loyal to the cause of a thing, you will make sacrifices for it. Nigerian leaders(may not be all) but majority of the leaders are loyal to their pockets and to their immediate families but loyalty to the nation is really very minimum. Americans are taught, trained, they grew up being taught to be loyal to the cause of the nation. The commitment of people to their nation is much more better than what I found in Nigeria. In Nigeria, people get into politics to enrich themselves. Here in the U.S people get into politics with the goal of making the country a better place for everybody and there is transparency which you will not find in Nigeria. There is honesty, no greed. You live for others to make the country a better place for everybody.
HOW WILL YOU COMPARE THE CHURCH OF GOD IN SPREADING THE GOSPEL TO HOW IT WAS?
As a matter of fact, the church is doing well compare to how it was mostly in Africa in the 90s. Thank God for the help of Internet, Christian TV, etc. The Gospel of Christ has gone far and wide. The impact of Christianity is been felt all over the world. By the grace of God, I have traveled almost all the continent and there is no continent where you will not feel the impact of Jesus Christ apart from some few country that are still growing but Christianity has affected the world positively.
HOW IS THE RESPONSE OF THE PANDEMIC CALLED COVID-19 IN THE STATE WHERE YOU ARE?
It’s really bad in the New York City where I live. Personally I lost people in my church. It was so intense, much more intense than what we read and watch in the News teleision because I know a lot of people including Nigerians who died here. It got to a point that nothing could be found in New York City, fear was everywhere, no one was sure of life, no one was sure of tomorrow. Covid-19 is really a bad virus and a dangerous disease which everybody must take precaution about. It got to a time that parents were separated from children and funny enough once your family members gets infected with the pandemic you will not have to see their family member again, some dead bodies were not be found again. It’s a wide sickness, we have not fully recovered so I wouldn’t really tell much but it’s good now, it’s improving now. For the first time Americans depends on the Grace of God for survival. It was so intensed.
WILL YOU SAY THE PANDEMIC IS AN INDICATION OF AN ENDTIME AGE?
I don’t believe so. Pandemic comes in every 100 years by history though we are already in End time. I believe this might be a warning to the world for us to sit tight. The coming of the Lord is very near, what better way to prepare than men to live right with God. This is the time to re access our lives personally on how to treat people and how committed we are to God on earth. For the first time since I have been here, I have seen people value live and safety more than any money around. It has been a wake up call to the world. I really don’t believe it’s an indication of End of time but we are in the season where the coming of the Lord is near.
WHAT SHOULD BE CHRISTIAN ATTITUDE IN TIME LIKE THIS?
The book of Hebrew from the Holy Bible says ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith’. In time like this, we have to stay in the faith of Jesus Christ. We must stay focus, Re access our lives, a time of proper prayer, proper prayer must return to the church.
This trying period has really given pastors enough time to rest, a lot of them are tired in ministry. Like in America, I know about over 20 pastors and bishops who are no more, they are dead. A lot of ministry has been short down, members are scattered and dead. This is the time where we must return to God fully, a time to return to a place of glory.
